Great design evolves and revolves around the details that are unique to you; figure, skin tone, taste of fashion, music, lifestyle - anything and everything is taken into account when I personally work with you on your costume design needs.
Turnaround Time
The entire process for a single outfit is approximately 3 to 5 weeks. Team outfits can take anywhere between 3 to 8 weeks.
The Process from Concept-to-Creation
Consultation
You and I have a design discussion regarding your costume needs where we will discuss the purpose, styles, colors and fabrications.Taking Measurements
No two people are alike. A proper costume has a proper fit - always.
Material Research
Once we know the purpose and the style - as well as your shape - we can then dive deep into what the best materials would be to maximize the costumes effect while also being comfortable to wear.
Design Sketch
Now the fun begins! I let my creativity flow on paper where I will sketch out 1-3 design options for you to review and select from.Prototype
Snip, snip, sew, sew - off to work I go bringing the approved design sketch to life.
Fittings
Time to try on the costume to see if any adjustments are needed. Typically only between 1 to 3 fittings are needed to get your costume fitting just right.
Revisions
Perhaps you’d like to make minor design adjustments. Let’s do it and get it how you want it.
Outfit Delivery
No doubt a happy day! A costume comes delivered to you that is a functioning piece of art - unique in every way, just as you!
